LaDonna Sherwood Announces Candidacy for Beaumont City Council Ward 3

BEAUMONT, TEXAS - LaDonna Sherwood, a lifelong Beaumont resident, accomplished businesswoman, and dedicated community advocate, has officially announced her candidacy for Beaumont City Council Ward 3.
"Ward 3 is filled with untapped potential," Sherwood stated. "I'm running to ensure that every voice is heard, every concern is addressed and every resident has the opportunity to thrive. Together, we can rise and create a stronger, more vibrant future for our neighborhoods."
Sherwood's campaign will focus on two key pillars aimed at addressing the unique needs of Ward 3 residents:
Infrastructure Renewal: Tackling neglected infrastructure to improve quality of life and create a foundation for growth in Ward 3.
Economic Development: Supporting local businesses, fostering responsible development, and creating new opportunities to revitalize the community.
A Proven Leader with Deep Local Roots
A proud graduate of Clifton J. Ozen High School, Sherwood went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Houston and a Master's in Public Administration from Lamar University. She brings over 18 years of experience as a licensed insurance agent, child care administrator, and owner of a successful non-emergency medical transportation company serving Medicare and Medicaid recipients.
Sherwood is married to Army veteran and former Union Pacific Railroad executive Greg Hailey and is the proud mother of two children who attend Beaumont Independent School District schools. Her commitment to family and her community fuels her passion for creating a brighter future for all Ward 3 residents.
A Campaign Focused on Collaboration and Results
Sherwood emphasized the importance of community-centered leadership.
"This campaign is not about me- it's about us," Sherwood explained. "Together, we can build a brighter future for Ward 3. I'm ready to work hard to make this community one we're all proud to call home."
Sherwood aims to be a tireless advocate for residents by addressing long-standing challenges, fostering economic opportunity, and improving the quality of life in Ward 3.
